Math Mindset

Hello guys and welcome back with another blog but this week I want to talk to you about my maths stuff that the whole hub had to do, and this is what you got from it and... I spent a lot of time on this quiz and guess what I got 100% when I looked at my score I was so shocked I said "This can't be true, I think that I got hacked or something" but no I actually got 100% 😶.

Lesson 1:

 We learnt about Knocking Down The Myths Of Maths that means that they asked some people what they thought about maths and it was a 50-50 about liking maths and hating it. Some people really liked maths in a hole and I do to.

Lesson 2: 

In lesson 2 we learn about your Maths Mindset about what Mindset you have a growth mindset ( When you are positive about everything and you think you would go good and try your hardest) and a fixed mindset ( This is when you think you suck at everything and you can't complete anything cause you think your that bad.)

Lesson 3:  

In lesson 3 I learnt that Mistakes And Speed when you make mistakes, it doesn't mean that you failed and you have to give up instant, but it means that when you make a mistake you are getting smarter so you try until you get the answer.

Lesson 4:

In the fourth lesson I learnt Number Flexibility, Mathematical Reasoning, and Connections and if you have a connection with maths that means you could be good right, but if you have a bad connection with maths you would need to try but if you fail that means you could start up again and try harder and never give up.

Lesson 5: 

The 5th lesson was Number Patterns and Representations this means you don't have to memorize a lot of patterns you would just memorize the working out in your head and that might be quicker if you don't try to memorize the pattern.

Lesson 6:

In lesson 6 we had to learn about Maths In Life, Nature And Work we learn about what animals use maths in their normal life and I found out that a lot of animals use maths like spiders and snail in there slime trail that they put on the ground.

I tryed alot of websites and then I found Sketpad.io I realy like this website and then I would like to use this in the futre and for other people to use it aswell, including the year 7/8 in our shool and other schools.

My Wonderful Reading Task

Hi guys and welcome back to another blog post, today I would like to tell you about my reading book called Underground Soldiers. It was based on the tunnels in the first world war back in 1914 when Germany invaded Belgium and then France.

The book started when 2 boys fell into the underground tunnel in Arras back 20 years ago also it was 30 meters underground. In the tunnels one of the miners would sit down in a cold damp dark tunnel and wait with his headphones in to hear if there was any movement from the other base or any explosives that are soon going to be dropped, also it gave the person a lot of stress just sitting there probably all night just waiting for any movement.


Tunnelers were sent from New Zealand.  most were miners some were bushmen and labourers. The point of the tunnels were that they didn't get killed walking in the No Man's Land, also they bring mice so if the mice get dizzy they will know that the other team has put poisonous gas at the entrance and so they are most likely to get killed.

The book is a good one I really like it. I would recommend it to you if you would like to know a little about the war and gadgets used.

Hi guys i'm back with another blog post and today i will be talking to you about MY ART!
a few weeks ago the kaupeka hub did our art around pbl, we did it about discrimination and how we think we can stop it, I like how we based our art around our P.B.L instead of doing it about a diffrent subject.

End of term 1

Hi guys welcome back to anthor blog post and I will be telling you about the last day of the school term 1. I really liked this term and I wish I could redo the fun term I liked it so much. A highlight for me was our PBL. I like the teachers and my friends I really don't want for the term to end but sadly it has to. Today for everyone who has everything done we had a nintendo switch and a ping pong table I really liked it.
