The Best Proformance Ever

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about cultural stories and the big question was;
 What is the significance in the 21st Century of our Cultural stories?

First we brainstormed what culture is and came up with lots of ideas. Culture is about our traditional storys
and carrying the old traditions on.
Then we thought about our own culture and talked to our parents about our traditions and heritage.
I wrote a post about my family and things we like to do.
In Literacy we read and discussed myths and legends from around the world then we concentrated
on Maori legends. I read Haputapu and the Bird Woman

We made a performance about the story Battle of the Mountains. Some students wrote the script,
some students took on the job of making all the artwork, some worked hard on organising the music
and others took on the role of bringing the story alive with dance and drama.

Reflection: 
For our production I contributed by making the art and being a bushy boi.

I think the show might impact on others by learning more about the myths and ledgends.

What I learned about working with others was a great way to impact our learning.

Awesome Swimming Lessons With School

Whats up guy's it Josh here back with another blog post and today we did school swimming lessons here is some pic of it.

It was really really fun and I wish I did it for 4 weeks insted of 2 weeks when we had a girl teacher then she let the 2 top groups into the spa. It was really really REALLY warm I loved it. On the 
last day we got to go on a ship and under the ship I we COOL.

My Awesome Evidence For Reading

This year in reading I have reading about Myths and Ledgens and this was my follow up.
In reading I have been wondering….

How can I deepen my understanding of what I have read through

applying my own ideas to the story.

I read the story….. Haputapu And The Bird Woman

It was about….. Haputapu he found a mythical creature a  Bird Woman

We then had to create…. Drawing a wanted poster for the Bird Woman and then Hatupatu hopped into his helicopter

The Bird Woman down.    

This was my idea…. Because I read the story and then this man named Haputapu and then he threw
the spear thru the bird woman's heart then she traps Haputapu in a cage.

Then Haputapu escapes then he hides in the rock and then escapes the wicked Bird Woman

I chose to do this because…. I got to do such a fun and exciting follow up and we got to draw a wanted poster

Josh'S Super Awesome Maths Evidince

Hello today I'll be telling you about what I have been doing in maths this week, I was doing Adding and Subtracting Decimals like 28.20 + 5.5= 32.25 then earlier today my maths group we did division. Here is a example 189÷3 we do 180÷3 and then we do 9÷3 then the anser = 63. 180÷3= 60 then 9÷3=3 so you add up our score and then it =63 thats how I got my answer. My teacher for maths is Miss Parker I am in the third highest maths group and I am realy realy smart. now I need to work on my reading and writing. I'm bad at Writing so I will work on it and I wont give up until I get better.

Hi guy's it's Josh and I sm part Austrian, Maori, Scottish, Irish, Dutch, English and I love that I am part of these places. and I can speak a bit of them but I don't want to it right now probably in the next blog. I am so happy that my generation is in theses contrys and I wish that I can tell my children about our contrys that we were born in.
