ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the video. I like how you have answered the questions but have a couple of alternatives for you to think about.
Have you thought about adding on a larger number still and rounding a number to the nearest thousand? Just thinking about the first example instead of adding one, add one hundred and eleven and make 4000? Then you would have 1245 + 4000 = 5245 and for the final answer subtract 111 from this. Therefore 1245 + 3899 = 5134
With 21.42 - 9.7 could you have rounded 9.7 up to 10 and left the 21.42 intact?
